History
With several years of experience in the private sector of networks and telecommunications, as well as a professor of electronics in higher education, Engº João Jacob founded Ostium, Soluções de Engenharia, Lda in 2005.
With certification in Systems in Management and Security and Protection of ships and port facilities / ISM (International Ship Management) and ISPS (International Ship and Port Security), Fernando Neves performed Shipping Managment functions since 2015, and later CSO (Company Security Officer) and DPA (Designed Person Ashore) in shipping companies in Cape Verde.
In 2013, they started a project to monitor fuel capacity in tankers called "Online Tank Surveyor" and later, in 2016, João Jacob, at the invitation of Fernando Neves, headed to Cape Verde to familiarize himself in the ship "Olimpia" where he studied more in detail the monitoring systems on ships. On this ship he equipped the fire control system and worked on the various electronic equipment on board. At the same time, the study of monitoring systems for small vessels began.
In 2022 they founded 7SEAS - Soluções de Engenharia e Consultoria Náutica, Lda.
With an appetite for less conventional projects, several organizations challenged 7Seas to study projects in different areas, such as Industrial Automation, Telecommunications, Public Lighting and Environment.
